 | Throughout the year all of our students will be working with word
processing, graphics, and age appropriate Internet skills. The fourth
through sixth grade students will be creating and using databases,
spreadsheets, and multimedia presentations as well as honing their
research and oral presentation skills. |
| All grade levels will be working on grade appropriate keyboarding
skills. Practicing at home would be very helpful. Students who are
proficient on the keyboard are better editors of their writing and
therefore become better and more enthusiastic writers. |
| All grade levels will be working on grade appropriate research skills.
Students will be using Netrekker, Exploring Nature and EbscoHost. These databases help students to research topics that are
appropriate for them as well as finding articles that are on their reading
level. Use the web link and passwords for EbscoHost and
email me your comments. EbscoHost is a very helpful resource for your research
needs as well. Funding for these databases are provided by the South
Jersey Regional Library Cooperative and The New Jersey State Library. |
